In a new video posted on Instagram, Sarah Ferguson reflected on her health journey, sharing her fears about whether she would live to see her grandchildren grow up after being diagnosed with breast cancer and malignant melanoma (skin cancer).
"I was diagnosed with breast cancer and then later on I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma,” she said."I was trying to get my head around exactly whether I was going to see my grandchildren, whether I was going to see my children."
The Duchess underwent a single mastectomy and reconstructive surgery in June 2023 for breast cancer and later revealed her prognosis was “good.” Months later, doctors discovered malignant melanoma, which was also successfully treated.
